Sam has been a passionate boating enthusiast for the past seven years. He enjoys design, motors, and a sense of seeing his project leap to action. Stand out performances include building his own remote control boats from scratch and constructing his own operational raft. Sam is delighted to be learning more about boats and the future possibilities of marine propulsion.

Before I started with Project Space, I had already started building my boat. I had a lot of big ideas but not a lot of direction. I found myself drifting in the grey area a lot. Then we signed up for Project Space. It was at times a very difficult journey because I’ve never built a boat before, so everything I was doing was for the first time, and I had a lot of problems to solve. One of my biggest personal challenges has been trying to tame my overwhelming imagination, which would constantly plague me with great ideas and possibilities. This would happen everytime I started working on the boat. My mind would be flooded with ideas. I have had to learn to focus my mind, set achievable goals and simply get the job done. I really enjoyed being part of the facilitated group, connecting with and supporting others, while feeling supported myself at the same time.

HISTORY OF BOATS
Before Project Space I often found it difficult to complete projects because I had a lack of focus and dedication. Since Project Space I have enjoyed seeing my ideas burst into life as I committed myself to setting goals and getting it done.
